What is LAFTA?
Founded in 1995, Louisville Area Fiber and Textile Artists (LAFTA) is an anization of visual artists whose work encompasses a variety of surface design and construction techniques, focusing on fibers, textiles and beads.
Our mission is to provide support to our members and to increase community awareness of fiber and textile art.
Thursday, November 21:
Multi-Media Approaches to Fragile Materials
Monthly meeting, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 2822 Frankfurt Ave.,
Louisville. The panel presentation will focus on the results of
experimentation with multi-media approaches to a fragile material:
paper from old piano player rolls. Members will talk about the
problems they encountered and how they solved them.
Gather at 6:00 p.m. to socialize; program begins at 6:30 p.m.
Bring your items for grab bag and “show and tell.”

Arrive between 5:30 and 6:00 to socialize and share appetizers. Dinner will be served at 6:30.
We will be collecting donations of art supplies for Cabbage Patch. (See newsletter for more information.)
